Prizes
E-Certificate
  • E-Certificates will be awarded to participants who complete the hike within the official time limit.
  • E-Certificates will be sent via email in batches on and after 6 February 2023. (E-Certificates will be sent to team leaders of Teams and Green Teams and the contact person of the corporations / organisations participating in Cup categories.)
Trophies and Prizes
  • The champion, first and second runners-up in each category will be awarded trophies / medals (Trophies and medals are upcycled from wood waste) and other prizes
  • Due to epidemic prevention consideration, there will be no award ceremony on the event day. Instead, there will be a simple award presentation.

  • Based on the total number of cup participants, accumulated hiking distance and the amount of donation1 from the Physical Hike and Virtual Hike, awards will be given to the top corporations / organisations in each Cup category:

  • The top three corporations / organisations with the most participants

  • Appearing on the Cup Leaderboard (Regular update during the event period)

Active Green Award
  • The top three corporations / organisations with the longest accumulated hiking distance
  • Trophies for champion, first and second runners-up (made from upcycled wood waste)
  • Appearing on the Cup Leaderboard (Regular update during the event period)
  • Post-event Acknowledgement on newspaper and Green Power Hike website (For more details, please click Acknowledgement)
Speed King Award
  • Apply to Virtual Hike only. The three participants with the fastest finish time in each Cup who completed the designated distance, route and time limit in one go during the event period will be awarded.
  • Champion, first and second runners-up will be awarded for each of 10km, 25km and 50km categories.
  • Trophies for champion, first and second runners-up (made from upcycled wood waste)
  • Appearing on the Cup Leaderboard (Regular update during the event period)
  • Post-event Acknowledgement on newspaper and Green Power Hike website (For more details, please click Acknowledgement)
  • All completed distance, whether receiving award or not, will be counted towards the Active Green Award in the end.
Supreme Green Award
  • The corporation / organisation with the highest donation

  • All corporations / organisations donating over HK$12,000

  • E-Certificates will be awarded to participants who complete the Green Beat Hike or Green Leisure Hike.
  • E-Certificates will be sent via email in batches on and after 30 March 2023. (E-Certificates will be sent to team leaders of Teams and Green Teams and the contact person of the corporations / organisations participating in Cup categories.)
Personalized Medal
  • All participants who complete the Green Beat Hike or Green Leisure Hike will be awarded a personalized medal (upcycled from wood waste)
  • The personalized medal will be printed with the participant’s name, hike category and completion time (if applicable)

Traceless Hiker Award

  • All participants are welcomed to take part (including participants of Physical Hike and Virtual Hike)
  • Get a “Leave No Trace” Equipment Set upon completing the task


How to participate:
  • Physical Hike: On the event day, pick up rubbish along the route, sort and recycle them at the end point (“Eco Clean Up” Action booth). Or share your photos of “Leave No Trace” hiking on the event day, such as bringing your own bottles and towels, at the booth.
  • Virtual Hike: During the event period, upload photos and share your practice of “Leave No Trace” hiking, e.g. bring your own bottles and towels, take away your rubbish, proper planning to reduce waste at source.

While hiking and enjoying nature, it is also necessary to reduce the impact on the environment. Green Power encourages everyone to practice "Leave No Trace" while hiking. Start by yourself and do one more step, change your attitude and behavior during outings, and protect our precious environment.
