Three distances, 50km, 25km and 10km, are available to choose from. The distance of 50km and 25km are longer, requiring more physical strength; while the distance of 10km is more suitable for beginners. Hong Kong Trail comprises of both concrete-paved and dirt trails, and some sections have steep up and down slopes. Participants are advised to choose the most suitable routes and finish the distance in sections, according to their experience and physical fitness. For more details, please refer to Routes.

Yes. Participants can donate extra sponsorship by posting the donation cheque to us (payable to Green Power Ltd.) before 27 February 2023.
Tax-deductible receipts will only be issued to those upon request, with donations of HK$100 or over. Please fill in the sponsorship form if tax-deductible receipts are needed.
We recommend participants to plan the route well before starting out. For those with less experience, please be advised to avoid hiking at night or routes of high-level difficulty. Participants should train their body strength, as well as endurance in accordance to their health condition. Participants should prepare suitable equipment before the event (including clothes, food and drink), and read the information about emergency response and injury relief. The Organizer has purchased Public Liability Insurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance for the event. Participants may purchase accident / casualty insurance and property insurance on their own as necessary. Participants are advised to understand their physical conditions before enrolling in the event. If you have any doubts on your health, please consult your doctor as soon as possible. Participants are responsible for their own risks and liabilities.
No. In the case when the Physical Hike cannot be held because of the development of COVID-19 and any unforeseen circumstances, or when enrolled participants cannot fulfil anti-pandemic requirements by the government, the enrollment will be automatically switched to the Virtual Hike category. The difference in the minimum donation amount will be refunded (after deducting the handling fee charged by the online payment platform)
Participants of the Physical Hike must fulfil the latest anti-pandemic requirements by the government, including proper vaccination, COVID-19 testing, Vaccine Pass, etc.. The requirements may be updated by the government from time to time according to the latest situation. If any participants fail to meet the related requirement after enrollment in the Physical Hike, he/she will be automatically switched to the Virtual Hike category. The difference in the minimum donation amount will be refunded (after deducting the handling fee charged by the online payment platform)
Due to epidemic prevention consideration, Great Hiker and Master Male & Female categories will be cancelled this year.
Applicants can visit Enrollment Status 7 days after enrollment and donation submission. Confirmation letters will be sent by email to all successful applicants by 20 December 2022. (Teams and Green Teams: to team leaders only; Cups: to the contact person of the corporations / organizations only)
We will inform the applicants on the waiting list according to the priority of their dates of registration to fill the vacant quota released by participants who have withdrawn from the hike. An email about the registration status will be sent to the applicants on or before 16 December 2022.

No. Participants must collect number cloth and other event materials during the Material Collection Day. For more details: Material Collection.
No. All donations are non-refundable after successful enrollment.
If any member of a team cannot participate in the event or fail to complete the hike within the time limit, there will be no official time record and ranking for the team. However, the individual finishing time of other team members who can complete the hike within the time limit will be recorded, and the team members will receive individual certificate but no ranking will be provided.
