Rules and regulations
Due to the pandemic, "the 29th Green Power Hike" will be held as a virtual hike. Participants can hike anytime and complete the virtual hike in one go or multiple times during the event period. They just need to upload their completed routes on the event website.

Individuals: Participants can start the Virtual Hike from 21 January 2022. For every single trip, participants should log into the personal registration page, upload their itinerary and photos showing any two Distance Posts along The Hong Kong Trail. There is no limit on number of uploads throughout the event period. All the records uploaded will be accumulated and become the final result.


Teams: Participating teams can start the Virtual Hike together or individually from 21 January 2022. For every single trip, every team member should log into the personal registration page, upload his itinerary and photos showing any two Distance Posts along The Hong Kong Trail. There is no limit on number of uploads throughout the event period. All the records uploaded will be accumulated and become the final result.


Family teams: Participating teams can start the Virtual Hike from 21 January 2022. There is no limit on number of uploads throughout the event period. All the records uploaded will be accumulated and become the final result.

*Family teams only need to upload one record for the whole team after a single trip. All records uploaded will account for the final result.


Cups: Participating teams can start the Virtual Hike together or individually from 21 January 2022. For every single trip, every team member should log into the personal registration page, upload his itinerary and photos showing any two Distance Posts along The Hong Kong Trail. There is no limit on number of uploads throughout the event period. All the records uploaded will be accumulated and become the final result.


  • Participants can mark the distances and routes completed with any fitness-tracking App, e.g. Strava, Garmin, Trailwatch and etc.
  • All itinerary records should be uploaded as screenshots, which include the route map, date, time and other information.
  • The organizer will monitor records uploaded by participants, and verify the authenticity of records. The organizer reserves the right to cancel falsified game records.
  • Participants who follow "Leave-No-Trace" principle can upload photos of "Leave-No-Trace" at the same time and participate in the "Traceless Hiker Award".
  • To ensure the safety of participants, a hotline will be set up by the Organizer, so that participants can file their itinerary before and after each trip.
